Po\u0161tanska veza Split-Imotski odr\u017eavana je po\u0161tanskim ko\u010dijama-dili\u017eansama do uvo\u0111enja po\u0161tanskog automobila 1913. godine. Imotski je tek 1881. godine spojen preko \u0160kobalju\u0161e (Zagvozda) s Napoleonovim putem, a preko njega sa Makarskom i Vrgorcem. Ova se veza jo\u0161 bolje upotpunjuje izgradnjom \u0160estanovac-Cista (1901) koji ve\u017ee Napoleonov put s Rimskom cestom preko Prpu\u0161e. Po\u0161tanski je ured otvore<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">n i po\u0161tanske veze uspostavljene 1834. godine. Raskri\u017eje karavanskih puteva davalo je zna\u010denje imotskoj tvr\u0111avi i osiguralo njen utjecaj na okolicu ali grani\u010dni polo\u017eaj nije pogodovao razvoju modernih prometnih linija.
